Two Sexy Individuals
Just in case you were wondering, I didn't get mad at JP for posting that adorable picture of me...I got even. Apparently, he wasn't man enough to handle it and deleted my trick before anyone ever saw it. Just kidding babe, you are the manliest man I've ever met. I'll let the rest of you judge for yourself. Maybe I do wear the pants in the family :)

Just in case you were wondering
My poor mom has passed kidney stones several times throughout her life...two times have been within the last two months. I passed a kidney stone in March and wanted to die. This is a picture of my kidney stone compared to a Sour Patch Kid (it was the only little thing around). If you are thinking there is no way that could cause that much pain... I thought the exact same thing. The doctor said a kidney stone passing through the ureter is comparable to putting a BB through a strand of hair, except it would have to be a BB with spikes. Once you pass a stone, there is a 70% chance that you will again in your life. Please don't let that happen again! I'm going to drink lots and lots of water and pray that genetics won't get me down again!
Arm you kid-kneeing me?
That's what I said when I found out that Josh went to the ER for stitches
two weeks ago in Wyoming, Steven went to Urgent care for stitches the next Wednesday night in Salt Lake, my mom went to the ER because of kidney stones on Thursday night in Idaho, and JP went to the ER in Canada because of his arms on Friday. Just in case you don't understand the title, it's a lame attempt on my part to be punny. Let me break it down for you...the arm is for JP, the kidney is for my mom, and the knee is for Josh and Steven because they both got stitches in the knee. No pain, no gain...right?

Now for the happy stuff
Before the accident occured, we had a ton of fun! Besides biking our butts off (literally-ha ha), we had fun camping for a couple of nights, swimming in the lake, sleeping in the front yard of someone's vacation house, staying in the coolest house ever for 3 nights, making campfires, exploring the tiny town, and floating down the freezing cold river in our 'pleasure crafts.' I put that word in quotation marks because our so-called crafts might not be worthy of the term 'pleasure'. They were tiny and the water was FREEZING cold. JP was the last to get in and yelled 'abort! abort mission!' as he ran away from the river. I told him that he couldn't abandon me and forced him to come. I couldn't blame him for wanting to abandon ship after I saw that the majority of his body was submerged in the freezing cold water... we later discovered our $4 crafts could only support 140 pounds! Eventually, we became numb and the water wasn't so bad.
a sad ending to a happy trip
We just got back from a fun road trip to Canada. We somehow survived trails by the names of Hedonism, Dem Bones, and Malice in Plunderland in one piece (and in my opinion, those trails lived up to their names), but had an accident riding back on a trail commonly known as the freeway. We were drafting off of each other and I'm not such a good drafter. I slammed on my brakes, making it necessary for JP to slam on his brakes, which resulted in the worst endo I've ever seen. I thought I killed my husband! Although he is not dead, his arms are basically useless. He can't drive, eat, write...nothing. Let's just say that we've grown REALLY close as a couple this past week.

EEEEEEEeeeeeeWWWWwww!!!!
JP left for Newport yesterday morning and I have been all by my lonesome self. Actually I've kept pretty busy, so it's been ok. Che and Bode woke me up several times last night, probably because they miss JP. When I woke up this morning, Bode began barking at me and then nodded his head toward the door. He then sat in front on my keys and stared at them. I promised to take him on a bike ride when I got home from school. I didn't know what I was getting myself into.... So, Shelby came with me and we took Che and Bode to get some exercise. A little while later we stopped to look for the dogs and heard a strange noise followed by the most putrid smell ever!!! SKUNK!!! After a little while Shelby and I grew accustomed to the smell and started wondering if the dogs had actually been sprayed after all. Che started rubbing his stinky body into the dirt to get rid of the smell and slid head first down the mountain. It was cute and funny. I wish I had a camera, but JP took that AND the laptop. There was a wedding reception at the bottom of the ride...and food. Bode ran right up to them and we could tell by their reactions that the dogs had indeed been sprayed. Now I stink, my dogs stink, and my car stinks, and I have no husband to do the dirty work for me. He suggested tomatoe soup and baking soda. Any other great ideas?
