JP did it again! He ran 50 miles in the still-snow-covered-mountains last Saturday. It kind of makes me sick thinking about running that far on such steep, rugged terrain, but he had to prove to me once again that he's "The Man!". I guess he deserves that title now (lol). Brecken and I had fun waiting for him to finish. Way to go! We knew you could do it and we're so proud of you!
A family picture after that race with an old buddy in the background. Too bad I don't know how to use photoshop cause I would zap him out of there. Sorry guy.
Brecken as wild and wiggly as ever.
She likes to squeal, scream happily, make funny faces, and get into lots of trouble.
Breck with her hero. She sure loves her dadio. I think they both could use a long nap.
Maybe not?!
Look at those jowls. I love them and could kiss them all day long.
Brecken and Capri had fun up the canyon together. It's almost impossible to get a shot of them both looking at the camera and smiling.
Crazy Indie. She is definitely not camera shy or any other type of shy for that matter. She keeps us all laughing.
Best Buds
Birth control for JP...? We had lots of fun and they were little angels. They love being outside.
Chase is sooo cute with the babies. He gets excited whenever Capri or Brecken do anything new. It's fun to have someone else who adores their every little movement.
Awww. It's much easier to take a picture of these two smiling and looking at the camera than it is of Capri and Brecken.
The Bulkey Bunch kids. They're ALL smiling...kind of!!
It would be hard to have twins...
Hard, but fun.
No smiles here. I will train them soon enough.
We rode our bikes up to Big Springs with Brecken in tow for JP's birthday and had a fun little family picnic. Brecken jabbered and squealed like I've never heard her before. It was a beautiful day.

The Birthday Boy. As you can see, I was super wife and went all out with the Birthday cake. I bought him his favorite ice cream and stuck a candle in it after it was half eaten in case you can't tell from the picture. Nice. Hope you had a Happy Birthday, old man.
Just thought this was a cute picture of our munchkin.
Did I mention I REALLY like canyon picnics and bike rides/rollerblading, so I had to document my birthday picnic too.

I had a slight obsession with ladybugs from about 4th grade to 8th grade. I collected everything and anything ladybug. I thought it was fitting that a mama and a baby ladybug came to wish me a Happy Birthday (I know, they're probably not even ladybugs and I'm sure they're not mom and daughter, but a girl can dream) because we've found ladybugs on my birthday the last 2 years in a row.

Our almost monthly trip to Saint George. It was a short, but nice weekend break.

Isaiah and Brecken on another Saint George trip together. JP and I towed them behind our bikes while Scott and Des went on a ride. Then we switched. It was super fun and the babies thought so too. We didn't take too many pictures for once in my life.

Can you guess what we're doing?
Brecken LOVES cucumbers and bananas. Sometimes we give her whole ones and she attacks and destroys them. It's funny to watch.

Brecken and Capri got hooked up with a free photo shoot from Devin Pierce Photography thanks to Chari. I was a little bummed because Brecken was quite the grump. She has this funny habit of sticking her arms and legs straight out and twirling her hands and feet when she's really mad or really happy. Well, she twirled away (and cried), but at least we got a couple of the cousins. Capri was just a little model the entire time.
I love the one with Brecken screaming and Capri looking at her like, "what's wrong with you?" Thanks Devin and Chari. We will love these forever.

We'll see if this works. JP is a maniac and during his 50-miler he actually took the time to capture some video of the run. I thought it was pretty cool to experience a little of his delirium with him (he called me at mile 40 and sounded as happy as can be, but later told me he was 'seriously delirious').

Las Vegas, Easter, General Conference, Skiing in May

Most of my family went to Las Vegas for Spring Break this year. They were down there for a whole week, but JP and I didn't really get a Spring Break from work so we only made it for Friday and Saturday. It was a short, but sweet trip minus a couple of minor catastrophes. Brian and Alison were so nice to let us stay at their beautiful house and didn't even get mad when Brecken kept them up at night. Alison made the best creme brulee french toast I've ever tasted and I ate way too much. I am really bummed we didn't get pictures of Brecken with all of her cute cousins. I can't believe I missed out on that opportunity. We shopped 'til we dropped (at least the babies did), filled up at Yogurtland, swam all day, and even got some biking in. It couldn't have been more fun! Thanks for letting us stay at your house, Brian and Alison!

Brecken getting her tan on
Catastrophe #1: While we were swimming, Alison's stroller that we borrowed for Brecken got blown into the pool by the wind. Luckily Brecken wasn't in it, but our car seat, diaper bag, lots of toys and treats, and JP's cell phone were. The only permanent damage was his cell phone (because I was calling him right as it fell in the water). It was an unfortunate turn of events. We seem to have a lot of those!

Catastrophe #2: Brecken was in the same stroller while we were shopping and I reached in the back to get her a snack. She somehow slipped under the tray of the stroller and would've probably landed on her head, but she was Super Baby and grabbed onto the tray to save her life. When I came to give her the snack, she was hanging by the tray, looking at me as calm as a cucumber as if to say, "are you going to help me?" I was pretty panicked in the moment (and learned my lesson), but thinking of her little face now and her superhuman strength makes me laugh. Disclaimer: I had never used the stroller before and never sat her up like that. I definitely should have known better though.

Catastrophe #3: Of course I crashed while we were biking. I ended up with two bruises bigger than softballs. It was worth it.

A picture of the city from way out in the 'mountains' on our bike ride. Perfect Day.
Pretty cactus in the middle of the desert
Brian, my dad, and I on our first ride
It's a pretty special occasion when I get to bike with Brian, JP, AND my dad
Thanks mom and dad for the fun times and for watching Brecken
while we went biking. We can't wait until next year!

Back in Utah-Enjoying the nice weather

Brecken is sooo excited to go on a bike ride/picnic

That's one of her happy faces!
Showing off her two teeth

I think I definitely should win the 'coolest, most original formatting ever' award. What in the world?! I don't even know where this text is going to show up. Anyway, Brecken's faces kill me in these pictures. She was having the time of her life and because of her, we were too. We (I) love biking up the canyon and having picnics. These pictures are of last weekend...nice and sunny. The pictures below were taken yesterday. Quite the contrast.

I FINALLY got to go on a ski tour with JP and Matt. I have been dying to go all year. I never
thought I would be going in May, but here we are. Thanks to Shelle (JP's mom) for watching Brecken. I HATE leaving her, but I REALLY wanted to go at least once this year. The climb up was a little brutal for me considering I am in the worst shape of my life, but it was incredible. I really don't think there's anything like it. It was a blizzard the whole way up, but the sun came out just as we started to ski down. Okay, so the snow could have been a lot deeper, but I can't complain because it was still so much fun. I posted a picture of one of JP's ski tours. This is my idea of Heaven. I can't believe how beautiful it is and this isn't even the best picture!

We got to celebrate Easter with both of our families this year.
Brecken and Grandpa A. We still need to come up with a nickname for him.
The 'Best Cousins Forever' or as Libby says 'Brecken & Capri Forever'
I couldn't leave out the bowling game/General Conference. It was indoors this year because it SNOWED on Easter. Brecken's munching on the gift card from my dad. I already cashed it in! Thanks dad! It felt kind of like a double holiday with General Conference and Easter on the same day. I would rather have them spread out, but it was a perfect way to remember and worship Christ (and the TRUE reason we celebrate Easter) by listening to the prophets and apostles speak and testify of Him.
Cha Ching Bling money ain't no thang (ha, don't we wish)!

Easter with the JP's Family. Brecken loved picking up the eggs and helping us find them. I wish I would've taken pictures of Brecken with the Lewis cousins, but I missed out on that one again!
These pictures are out of order, so back to my family. Here's Brecken with Graham Cracker (as my mom so desperately wants to be called. We'll see if it sticks).

More of Brecken with Capri and her Uncle Steve practicing tummy time. I think she got sick of having her picture taken. Hmmm, I wonder why?! You deserve an award if you made it through this whole post...and I could've posted more, much more!
